Etihad museum to open to public soon!

Dubai's Etihad Museum is all set to open its doors to the public on January 7, next year. The museum chronicles the events of the declaration of the Union in 1971.

The Etihad museum was inaugurated on December 2, on the occasion of the UAE’s 45th National Day. At present, it is open to senior officials and VIP delegations only.

Dubai Culture said in a announcement that, the public will be able to visit every day of the week between 10am-8pm.

The acting director-general of Dubai Culture, Saeed Al Naboudah, said that, “This landmark heritage initiative is an important manifestation of the vision of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to create an important national UAE cultural and tourist landmark.”

The museum’s opening ceremony was attended by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and other Members of the Federal Supreme Council.
