Motorola Edge 70 Pro was officially introduced in India on Wednesday, and the newest addition to the Edge-series lineup is available in three specially selected colour choices from Pantone. This smartphone operates with an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8000 series processor and is powered by a substantial 6,500mAh battery. Additionally, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro features three cameras on the back, led by a main camera of 50 megapixels that uses a Sony LYT-710 sensor. To keep the device cool, it incorporates a vapour chamber cooling mechanism, preventing it from becoming too hot. The starting price for the Motorola Edge 70 Pro in India is Rs. 38,999 for the entry-level version that includes 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space. Conversely, the model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage has a cost of Rs. 41,999. The company provides an immediate discount of up to Rs. 2,000 for customers using Axis Bank and HDFC Bank cards. Additionally, there is an exchange offer of up to Rs. 2,000. Sales for this new phone will begin in India on April 29. The Motorola Edge 70 Pro is available in Pantone Lilly White, Pantone Tea, and Pantone Titan colours.

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro operates on Android 16 with Hello UI and supports dual SIM cards. The manufacturer guarantees up to three years of updates for the operating system and security features. It features a 6.8-inch Super HD (1,272x2,772 pixels) Extreme AMOLED display that supports 10 bits of colour, has a refresh rate of up to 144Hz for certain applications, reaches a peak brightness of 5,200 nits, offers a touch sampling rate of 360Hz, has a 96.8 percent screen-to-body ratio, a pixel density of 450 ppi, covers the entire DCI-P3 colour range, and includes HDR10+ support, along with certifications for reducing blue light and motion blur by SGS. The device is rated IP68+IP69 for its resistance to dust and water, and has passed MIL-STD 810H standards for durability. At its core, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme processor, with options for up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 internal storage. For user security, it features a fingerprint scanner located under the display. In terms of camera capabilities, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro includes a rear camera system with three lenses, highlighted by a 50-megapixel (f/1.8) main camera using a Sony LYT-710 sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 50-megapixel (f/2.0) ultrawide camera offering a 122-degree view and autofocus, plus a third unnamed sensor. It is also equipped with a front camera of 50-megapixels (f/1.9) for capturing selfies and making video calls, which includes autofocus. This phone can record videos at a maximum resolution of 4K/60 fps.

Equipped with a 6,500mAh battery, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro supports 90W fast wired charging and 5W built-in reverse charging. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, a USB Type-C port, and GPS, along with GLONASS and Galileo. It is also equipped with various sensors, including a proximity sensor, an ambient light sensor, an accelerometer, a gyroscope, and an e-compass. The phone measures 162.7x75. 6x6.99mm and has an approximate weight of 183g.
