Solar Energy Brighter For India-Saudi Business

Saudi Indian Business Network, an organization that promotes the bilateral trade between the two nations, held a two day scholarly and business seminar in Jeddah to explore the field of renewable energy.

Muhammad Noor Rahman Sheikh the Consul general of India inaugurated the special event. Referring to the Vision 2030 of Saudi Arabia that aims to diversify fuel based energy to include renewable energy; Mr. Sheikh asserted that India can be a great partner in it.

He stated that India’s 2022 target is producing 175 GW renewable energy in which 100 GW would be from solar energy.

The seminar was titled "Photovoltaic Solar Power - Opportunities in Saudi Arabia and India", panelists from both the countries had a discussion involving the mutual business opportunities in the field of renewable power and solar energy.
