Specifications for the Oppo Find X8s and Oppo Find X8s+ have surfaced ahead of their expected release. These two smartphones are set to feature an upgraded version of the processor found in last year's Oppo Find X8 series. The devices will also include significantly larger batteries, alongside support for 80W wired charging, as revealed by a source on Weibo, a popular Chinese social media site. Oppo is likely to unveil these models next month, following the debut of MediaTek's latest flagship chipset. The tipster known as Digital Chat Station shared the details of the Oppo Find X8s and Find X8s+ in a Weibo post. The base model, Find X8s, will come with a 6.3-inch display, whereas the larger variant, Find X8s+, is expected to feature a 6.59-inch screen.
Both devices are anticipated to be powered by the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor, which has yet to be introduced. MediaTek is projected to announce this new chipset at the MediaTek Dimensity Developer Conference (MDDC) next month, and it is likely that Oppo’s smartphones will be among the first to use it. Earlier claims from the tipster indicated that the Find X8s would be a lightweight device, measuring less than 8.15mm in thickness and weighing under 187 grams. Additionally, both models were reported to include a periscope telephoto camera.
According to the tipster, the upcoming Oppo Find X8s and Find X8s+ will feature higher-capacity batteries, with the smaller model expected to house one exceeding 5,700mAh. These smartphones will support both 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. Furthermore, the insider noted that the Oppo Find X8s and Find X8s+ will come with an optical fingerprint scanner placed beneath the display for biometric security, along with an IP69 rating for water and dust resistance.
