Caps supporting Israel seized in Fujairah

When the Fujairah Municipality authorities carried out a routine inspection in shops, they were shocked to discover the controversial caps were offered in a shop.

The caps, which were sold online available through red and blue colors, had the Star of David printed on them.

The director of Dibba Fujairah Municipality, Engineer Hassan Salem Al Yamahi said that the inspection campaign was carried out by the Department of Public Health. Municipal inspectors seize banned or harmful goods and pulls them off the market.

Hassan Salem said in a statement that they have seized others caps too, because they contained inappropriate words and phrases, which is contrary to Islamic values. He said that all the goods were confiscated, and the necessary measures were taken to ensure that they were immediately removed from the market.

The measures were taken in line with the UAE’s political stance against Israel.

Last year in August the UAE’s participation in the 90th conference of liaison officers of the regional offices of the Arab boycott of Israel, that took place at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo.

The conference was sought to evaluate the boycott, and to communicate with other international campaigns, that have been spreading very quickly worldwide, including at universities, trade unions, institutions and among artists who are boycotting Israel.

The conference also included boycotting the goods from the colonies, as well as divestment from Israel to exert more pressure.
