The announcement of Shah Rukh Khan's brief appearance in Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 excited fans, but there is some disappointing news for movie lovers. A new report indicates that Shah Rukh Khan has kindly turned down the opportunity. The information reveals that SRK wishes to concentrate solely on his film King and does not want audiences to see him in theaters prior to that action-packed movie. According to a source, “The producers were very interested in having Shah Rukh Khan join them for a five-day cameo, and he was initially open to it. Nonetheless, he still prioritizes King, which is very important to him, especially since it is his daughter Suhana Khan’s debut in films. During a respectful discussion with the production team, SRK showed his enthusiasm for the cameo but requested that the release of Jailer 2 happen after King, as he wanted his appearance to be exclusive to that movie. He has a specific look in King, and he prefers not to appear similarly in any other film beforehand. ”
While Shah Rukh Khan deeply admires Rajinikanth and looks forward to working together in the future, the release dates for Jailer 2 and King are close, leading both parties to agree to postpone the cameo for now. “The creators planned to release it in August, before King in December, and due to the different schedules, both sides mutually decided not to go ahead with this cameo for now. Shah Rukh Khan has also spoken with Rajinikanth personally, expressing his respect and promising that he would be glad to work together, whether in a cameo or a major role, at a more fitting time down the line,” the source added. Earlier today, an X account called Rangasthalam reported that SRK had set aside five days for the project without expecting any payment, simply out of love and respect for Rajinikanth for Jailer 2, but this latest information suggests that previous claims were not accurate.
Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, King represents Shah Rukh Khan’s first on-screen project with his daughter, Suhana Khan. Reports suggest that in King, SRK portrays a skilled assassin involved in the dark underbelly, while Suhana takes on the role of his trainee, preparing for perilous tasks. The cast also features Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Arshad Warsi, Abhay Verma, and Raghav Juyal.
