Bowing to the craze of Chiranjeevi mania by his fans, several organizations, firms and construction companies in the Gulf have declared a holiday on Wednesday when the megastar's comeback movie 'Khaidi No 150' hits the theaters across the World.
Chiranjeevi's latest release is expected to be released in more than 500 theatres across the Gulf. It is going to be played in 20 theaters in the United Arab Emirates alone.
Oruganti Subramanyam Sarma is the president of the Dubai Chiranjeevi Fans Association, he said that they have booked all the tickets for the first show in Novo Cinemas on 11th January.
Though there is only one cinema theater in Saudi Arabia, but there are several other theaters in Gulf nations which would be playing 'Khaidi No 150'. The recent movie 'Dhruva' starring Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan is even being pulled off from some Oman theatres to make a way for 'Khaidi No 150'.
"It is going to be the best festival for us. Our star is making a comeback after ten long years and we have just waited all these years for his comeback," said Mastan Shaik, a construction worker in Riyadh.
l Riyad Construction firm and Trading LLC in Muscat declared Chiranjeevi as the 'King of kings' of Telugu film industry, while announcing a holiday on January 11, the day the film releases.
"On this ground-breaking festive occasion of the 150th movie release of our demigod, movie mogul, king of kings of Telugu film industry, we are much delighted to declare a one day holiday to our workforce," said the construction firm manager Ramdass Chandaka.
We are doing this as a token of boundless love, worship for our cine idol, who is and will be irresistible, charismatic and evergreen personality. The boss is back," Chandaka said.
There are more than four lakh Telugus workers in Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and UAE. While many of them enjoy executive ranks in big contract firms, the majority of the people are daily wagers and laborers.
